Football II

There Akira, satisfied? Football it is. ;) Anyhow, it is time for the next round of matches... We are playing against Izrael tomorrow... A tough game it will be, cause we will probably play without our fans... It is too expensive to travel that far... Our footbal federation didn"t provide any tickets for this one. And Izrael has a good team... They will not be easy to beat... Well, at least not as easy as England... :D ;) Who are you guys playing against tomorrow? Malta, or? Hehe, if you loose this one, or if it would be a draw, you are in tough situation then...
HRVATSKA, HRVATSKA!!!!

Well, I can't say I follow the sport at all, but our Houston team just won our National Championship (MLS Cup). Didn't watch the game either, but I heard they put forth valiant efforts. Most of the game was 0-0 until the final 4 minutes the other team (New England Revolution) scored. But they came right back and made a header goal of their own to send it to penalty kicks, which they ended up winning by one. Now if only our other "football" team could pull it together like that!

Hehe, a few hours more. time to slowly acquire beer... paint my face...get some chips... I think England is playing against nederlands, or? If so, boy, you are in trouble... They are good. And so are we...

Heh, beaten Izrael... 4-3. A great game to watch. Great indeed. A lot of nice goals (althought the first one we have taken in our net was pretty darn stupid.)
It could almost be compared to the one England received when playing against us in Zagreb... :p
Uhm, I guess congratulations are in order, both for us and for Izrael representance too. For showing some fighting spirit. They didn"t gave up, kept us on our toes all the time. Technically, in fact in any way, we were superior.
The goals they scored were the mistakes of our defence... almost begginer types. (what the heck is wrong with that Šimunić lately? I mean, he plays sloopy, God forbidd.) But the Izraeli guys played a good game...nothing to be ashamed of... So, now we are first in our group, followed by Russia and then England...Hehehehe. For a country small as ours, it is a pretty great thing...
Proud to be Croat guys. Very. Regardless of the football... But it helps make the generall picture a bit more colorful. ;)

Uh I don't know too much about soccer, but I'm pretty sure Israel is spelled with an "s" not a "z" :rolleyes: Sorry, i just couldnt help myself!

Hrvatska=Croatia. In croatian. ;) England V.S. Netherlands; 1:1 and England should be extremly happy with the result... I don"t know what the heck is up with you guys... I mean, you have great individuals, but when put together, your team is a pile of p** Shame, really. Such great players. You could do so much better... But I hope you won"t, cause our last game is against England... :)

Hehe, and right you are. It is spelled with s in English... In my country it is spelled Izrael... No native english speaker here, hey, cut me some slack... ;)

I thought we were unlucky not to win, but it was only a friendly, so I'm not sure it matters. I think the problem is the media here beat up on the team so bad it encourages them to play as individuals - hence the terrible team play...
