BLS new CD shot to hell, Well what can i say not very impressed of this one come on Zakk, More speed and less Beer :(

i personally don't like to see artists that constantly speed around... like yngwie, rusty cooley, pettrucci, so on so on.... I like that Zakk can write slower songs that show his wide range of abilities... I think it's just another one of his albums that you have to get use to... Similar to the Pride and Glory project

I heard concrete jungle. The lyrics...it's like he ain't even trying any more. I feel he's capable of far better.

What?! Pride and Glory is the best thing Zakk has ever done IMO.

I love that album. It's one of my favorite Zakk projects too... I was just saying that it's far outside the box from anything that he did prior to that... And fans of his work with Ozzy had to aqcuire the taste for it... As I re-read my post... I don't see any part of it that could have been taken any other way...

Better then mafia, but still not as good as the older bls albums. I actually quite like the slower songs on the album, blood is thicker then water has a nice groove to it and the last goodbye is good as well. As far as the "heavy" songs go I liked new religion.
The lyrical content is getting old, listen to the lyrics from songs like counterfiet god and the older tunes, much better IMO.
I think book of shadows might be his best work, showed that he isnt all palm mutes and pinch harmonics and it showed that he could really sing.

And 1919 Eternal is by far his best hard stuff... IMO.
Bleed For Me, Genocide Junkies, and Demise of Sanity are three of my favorite tracks.

I really do like what he is doing, but all of the ballads kinda sound the same and seem to run together and not be the true vision zakk intended. Hard to Explane? :confused:
