Basically I used french polishing techniques with a pad of cotton wadding wrapped in chamois. A mixture of methylated spirits:Nitro thinners of 2:1 was added vis the 'back of the pad to the cotton wadding. When the chamois at the front was moist (not dripping) away I went.
I will never let sandp[aper near a finish again!! LOL!! It worked well and I am pleased with the result. Iyt is not perfect, but I am quitting while ahead!! :D
The spray on the sides & sacallops was such that all I needed to do was go for it with the Meguiar's 2,9,7. & up it came. Beautiful!! :D This of course was good luck rather than skill or brilliance on my part.
