Have an Epi SG...should I put in 57 Classics?

Like I said I have an Epiphone SG (G-400)..now as far as I'm concerned it sounds awesome, but all I ever hear is that if I replace the stock epiphone pickups with Gibson 57 Classics (atleast the bridge one) than I will have a new awesome sound - and it will be basically a "real" SG..... I play in a band, very seriously..I would classify it as pop-rock, with a punk edge to it... www.myspace.com/missilesandmarkers ..so if you take a listen, thats our style, but a real gibson les paul studio was used on that recording...now my epiphone sg doesn't have that great sound..will these 57 classics help me out with that? I don't need huge distortion AT ALL...just want a real great deep crunch with mild distortion
