strumming help
well first let me tell you i dont "know" alot about the guitar. i have been learning on my own, and for the most part have been learning songs on an individual basis centered around basic chords. However, ive noticed a trend... most of the songs im learning, involve picking individual notes (with a pick). then once it does get to a strumming part , i kind of move on. :eek: i think its because when i play picking songs, and have to move to another note individually i only move the finger that will be playing that next note. in other words its easier. but when strumming a song they all have to move to the next chord simultaniously. also sometimes the chord is chopped in half, and i cant manage to play, say the middle 3 strings only of an open chord, then sweep up and hit the bottom two. so my problem is keeping a rhythmn. any advice or exercise?
