I want to learn some Steve Vai and Joe Satriani but I dont really know where to start from. :confused:

Most of their stuff is challenging at least in part, so I'd say choose the song(s) you most want to play - it'll help with motivation.

That said, the first satch tune I picked up was 'always with me, always with you', and the first Vai tune was 'for the love of god'. Both are easy to start with, and have nasty bits...

u knind of need a 7 string for some bits but i really like playin audience is listenin. there is a cool hybrid pickin bit in the beguinin. (at least i hybrid pick it). and some lead that aint too hard.
