Hey guys, I haven't posted for ages but hopefully y'all still remember me. ;)
I'm doing a gig at the local mall in a month or so, but there's only me (guitar) and one other guitar player. We'll play a couple of originals, but most of 'em are supposed to be semi-popular songs already written. Anybody have any suggestions for songs that'll sound good with two guitarists, no drums or keyboard or anything? Thanks!
Don't worry. I shred.

Do an instrumental version of "Nothing Else Matters" by Metallica.

How about "Welcome Home" by Coheed and Cambria? Me and Brendon did it once for school and it was okay.
You go outside and practice screaming. We'll play music while you're gone.

pink floyd - wish you were here
bob dylan - like a rolling stone
red hot chilli peppers - under the bridge
you could try a acoustic cover of something acdc
humans aren't imortal

If you want semi-popular, do some James Blunt or something. I'd maybe do 'bridge to nowhere' by sam roberts.
For life is quite absurd and death's the final word, You must always face the curtain with a bow
Forget about your sin - give the audience a grin
Enjoy it - it's your last chance anyhow.

Whilst I love your enthusiasm for this band Michael, I dont think the song is popular enough for this gig...but what a great song! I love Coheed and Cambria...have you yet got a hold of their first two albums like I told you to?

I dunno what to suggest, but I'd do an Avril Lavigne song in there...maybe some Cat Stevens

Very nice, y'all are awesome. I'll look into those, and yeah, I'm definitely doing ac/dc (the electric version). It took me waaay too long to figure out the solo in You Shook Me All Night Long, gotta use it for something. :D
