New some advice w/ amp n pedals....

Alright I have a Peavey Triple XXX, as of most of you are aware there is no onboard reverb.. so i recently picked up a Boss RV-5, I don't use reverb too often and this pedal seemed to do the job pretty well for most people.... whenever i run the pedal in front of the amp it doesn't mesh with the amp, I found i need to always run it through the effects loop on the XXX? Thoughts, Comments? I also have a BOSS NS-2 ( noise suppressor ), any advice on where to play the pedal correctly? or advice at all on where to place each pedal accordingly to get the best sound??? I have a chromatic tuner ( pretty obvious), the ns-2, and rv-5.

I have posted on heare that I used to have a Triple X as well. The thing is a beast thats for sure. I ran my pedals through the effect loops as well. I ran a tube screamer and wah pedals. When I went straight to the amp I got some noise as well. What I did is run through the effects loop, back off the gain and use the tube screamer to get the desired tone. Dont let this discourage you but I got sick of the XXX and ran to the hills for a Marshall, best decision I have made in a long time.
