I figured out that it was my cord, followed ur advice and turned it on with nothing in, then with just my cord and it made that sound. This pisses me off though because I just bought this cord a little while ago. its a 21 foot Monster cable and I was told they were good. I would almost rather it be the tubes cause I want to replace them anyway. Thanks though, I never would have thought of that on my own.
I think I'm gonna replace the preamp tubes too and try and get a better distortion out of this baby. But yeah I agree for th money I've never played an amp that rivals this own, not even close. Could be a little more metal friendly though. Thanks again.
Hey do cell phones permanently damage pickups? or is it the tubes. one of them is beeping at me as if a cell phone is going off in my pocket, but it could just be my cell phone... I dont know I just want to make sure Im not ****ing up my equip. w/ my cell phone.
