I understood that the POD was more of a home recording device. I looked at one at my local guitar shop and it had some great features but it didn't look like it would stand up to serious gigging. The guy in the shop was quite adamant that you're not supposed to use your feet to change settings! I ended up with a BOSS GT-3 which I'm very happy with.
I agree with BadHorsie, with an RP12 you're well equipped.
