Hm... well considering the fact that you're worried about making noise... I wouldn't recommend an acoustic electric at all. Because by the time you turn the amp up so that you can hear it above the natural acoustics of the guitar it will probably be too loud to be acceptable... but whatever works for you I guess... That's my thoughts on it. I plug my Takamine into my 8W practice amp pretty often and I have to turn it up pretty loud so I can fully hear the sound of the effects I use... otherwise all I hear is a faint chorus underneath the loudness of my guitars natural tone.
