I really dont know any of those songs...

but a good chorus pedal can be used for a light, shiny kind of sound. I use a flanger sometimes for a even more exaggerated version of it.

I also have found that using a clean wah over chorus or Detuner with alot of reverb and some delay will give a nice underwater sound.

hope that helps any.

the electro-harmonix "small clone" does the underwater trick well......think of the clean guitar on Nirvana's "come as you are"
check it out here with sound clips--- http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/ElectroHarmonix-Small-Clone-Analog-Chorus-Pedal?sku=153312&src=3SOSWXXA

I like to use a little flange for that kinda sound. Kinda like No One by Cold.

Scoop the mids... Use a high bass setting and a high treble setting and no mids.... Personally I would use my Double Fat strat and use the neck pickup because it's a really smooth sounding pickups....Then overdrive it so it smooths it out even more. That's the basis of the tone... The specific effects may vary from song to song. I don't know the HelloGoodbye song... I know the other two though...
