Hi everyone
Newbie here from NJ. Was browsing around and I liked this site. I currently left my band after several years. Kind of taking a step back and figuring out what I really want to do. Southern Rock seems too be appealing to me right now. Our band usually played popular covers from 70's, 80's, 90's and now.
Went into a funk for a couple of months and didn't pick up a guitar. Now I'm getting rejuvenated and looking around, and like I said, taking a step back and starting from scratch. :)

Hey, a fellow Jersey-man. I'm from South Jersey, I think your about an hour and a half from here.

You can check out the beginner guide, if you've been playin for a few years (even with the break) you might be well past it, but give it a gander anyhoo : www.guitartricks.com/guide.php

Thanks. I've been playing about 11 years. A lot on my own until I joined a band about 3 1/2 years ago. Played a lot of clubs here on the shore. I've been searching around the board, but I only found it in the last hour, so I'll keep looking around. Not sure where you are, but my daughter goes to Stockton down there in S Jersey and I'm usually going to Ocean City to relax. :D

Stockton isn't round here though, I live in Glouster County, I'm not even sure where that college is. Rowan is like 5 minutes from here though. As far as Ocean City, I haven't been there (Only Atlantic City n Wildwood) I hear theres no bars, so I geuss less drunk people would help the relaxation process haha.

If you've been playin for 11 years, I wouldn't bother with the guide. I would recommened tryin out the Full Acess for a month.

There's a liquor store across the bridge, so once in a while, I'll grab a six of Coronas and head to the beach. Great little place :D

Yep, welcome to the site from another frequent beach bum!
It's become the main online hangout for alot of us. And I'd agree that you should try the full access subscription. There isn't a single teacher in the world that could cover all the styles and techniques covered by the numerous instructors here...not counting everyone else around here and their experience.
