i need some help getting my pinched harmonics sounding really mental.
i can do them, but it sounds really faint and i want to hear them like massive guitar sqeels you get in most metal pinched harmonics.
any help to achieve that sound will be greatly appreciated thanks

If you've got the technique down, you probably just need more gain, more volume and perhaps some effects. Also, if you are using any kind of noisegate you'll find it takes the edge off pinch harmonics.

What sort of a rig do you have?

I will also add that some amps can't do it. I have a Peavy Transtube 112 that puts out a lot of gain, yet pinch harmonics are near impossible. I also have a Carvin head n' custom cab that doesn't put out as much gain, yet is a lot easier for ph's.

A lot has to do with the voicing of the amp, and how much of your guitar's tone it actually lets through. Also, to get that real thick metal PH, it can sometimes be easier if you've got some faily thick strings that are tuned down kinda low, so they're a little loose. A whole step down with the low D tuned to C can usually produce the PH's you're looking for. Also, fret the Low 'E' string (or whatever you've got it tuned to) between the 1st and 5th fret. That's usually where you'll find the "heaviest" sounding PH's. Also, be sure to use some nice and wide vibrato.
