as far as if you wanna move up later...prs's hollowbody guitars are amazing, my friend has one and it gets a really phat jazz tone. or if you wanna go for a more traditional looking guitar, check out the gibson CS-336. the carvin H2 allen holdsworth model also holds up well and is semi-hollow (despite having no f-holes)


or if you can score one, check out what heritage guitars have to offer.

how do hollowbodies bother you, anyways? out of curiousity. i mean if you're sitting down, it should feel like playing an acoustic (or do you not like acoustics in general?). if you're a player that likes to stand up, i could understand.
