I did this Satch tune several months ago but I wasn't happy with the vocals and a few other things, so I re-did it with the new Ibanez JS1200Ca guitar.

I re-did the vocals too. I used a public address filter and a stereo leslie effect on the vocals which covers up my sad vocals pretty good and produced a cool effect IMO. Kind of a stereo ping pong effect going on.

The idea is that I am telling off a girlfriend in a football stadium over the stadium sound system. Don't know how I got into the stadium and got onto their loudspeakers but that's not important.

I didn't really have any ideas for a guitar solo so the solo is short, sweet and to the point.

The ending is a rip of Van Halens Jamies Cryin'. It kept popping into my head as I was doing the tune and it fit nicely so I went with it. The EVH riff is pretty nasty and raw, it came out pretty good too, IMO.

Very cool track indeed! Awesome tones all the way around! Vocals sound fitting as well. That "Jamie's Cryin'" bit flowed right nicely in with the rest of the song also. All the tracks were mixed very well. Great use of filling out the left to right space. What amp/cab/mic was used to record the rythm guitars?

Cool. I record in a similar way. I tried the Guitar Rig 2, but found that it was a bit too processor intensive for use on my laptop. It was fun to play with though.

Did you build the preamp yourself?

I did build it.
In fact I have built tons of tube amps, used to do it for a living.

I have info on this particular pre amp here.

Awesome stuff there! I've always wanted to custom build my own amp, but I just don't have the knowledge, experience, nor means to do so. I've talked to a few amp builders, but none seem to be interested in building a one off custom amp. I don't suppose you might happen to be up for the task would you?

No, I don't do that anymore.
Too time intensive, my tube amp parts business comes first and takes up most of my time.
There are guys on my amp forum that do that sort of thing.
Check this out if you are interested in tube amp building.
