Stripping it down

Ok I want to strip down some songs to acoustic and I need advice on how to start.
I want to strip down colors by crossfade mable by gold finger and bouncin off the walls again by sugarcult.

I'm unfamiliar with the songs.
You could try finding the notes of the chords on the bass string ( E ), and then try the major, minor - etc
if you always take the lazy route

uh, couldnt you just get the tab, and play it on acoustic?

I mean... if you dont want to play it with like powerchords and stuff, just play the actual chord.
