VOX AC 30 TB reissue Mod question

Hi all, I have an AC 30 TB reissue with the "blue" speakers (all i can say is WoW! The only amp i might want to replace it with would be an original P to P wired AC 30) My question.... On newer amps with circuit boards, is it difficult to add to / mod the amp to have an effects loop after the pre amp stage? If it is possible to do, would it be best after the pre or power stage (not sure if you can place it anywhere or not, i was told definitely after the pre stage). My reasoning is that I don't want to get too involved with a second amp onstage, and I want to place my delay, trem, chorus, verb, etc (time based fx) after the gain........For those of you who know, I'm sure you know why I'm asking.
