i'm looking at possibly buying a bass...i played an epi violin bass the other day and loved it...was wondering if i'd get the same tone and neck feel from an EB3 (which would have a bridge and pickup positioning more suited for being able to do slap along with everything else).

for some reason the EB3's aren't really ever stocked at any guitar stores i go to. guess cause everyone buys yamahas and fenders and ibanezes....but i'm not one to really go the normal path.

that and the lowest (on the fender totem pole) i'll go for a fender is the aerodyne or the jaguar bass.
okay...my post is done...goodbye.
