View post (Against DRM!)

I think it's a logical solution to the music industries complaints about the inclined ability of people to steal copyrighted material... I think it gives individuals the ability to download and listen to songs without paying... while it also protects the material from being massly distributed and reused by writing it to cds and such. I download music... But I normally download versions of songs that aren't on the album... rare recordings and such. I normally go out and buy cds... I like having the actual cd with the actual art... On the other hand... I've spent countless amounts of money on cd's.... I currently have imesh and it allows me to download any song I want... however, they have DRM restrictions... I normally play all my music through my computer anyway... so it's not that bg of a deal to me... I have enough cds to keep me satisfied in the car. I think DRM is the best compromise that there is right now... it's better than having to buy all your downloads.
