I don't post here that often, so I wasn't sure where to post this. I'm getting into heavy metal. Not HEAVY heavy metal, just heavy metal. I've been listening to some old show, cartoon, and movie themes that have some pretty sweet guitar riffs. My favorite themes are SWAT Kats, Transformers, and Doug, even though there's only a short lick and it isn't exactly heavy metal. I wanted to hear from the people here what there favorite heavy metal theme songs are. If this is the wrong place to post this let me know. Thanks.

Original idea for a thread! :)

My favourite is the theme song for those ancient Ford Fairlane ads. It's called "Last Time In Paris" and it's by Queensryche.
"It's all folk music... I ain't never heard no horse sing!"
- Attributed variously to Leadbelly and Louis Armstrong

If at first you don't succeed, you are obviously not Chuck Norris.

I liked the rendition of "Over the Rainbow" on some HBO show......."Taxi-Cab Confessions" I think. I admit it's more punk rock/alternative than heavy metal though.

I'm not really into all these new cartoons, but Metalocalypse looks like it might have some pretty sweet metal riffs. The preview had a pretty nice guitar lead.

the anime show "Case closed" had an ending riff that was awesome! Not metal, but it was catchy none the less.

Waynes world theme is great.

The theme song to the show 7th heaven was written by a famous heavy metal singer but when people figured out it was him it ruined his career. I dont like the theme or the show, it just fits with metal theme songs.
I am Comfortably Numb... :D

Oh yeah...STICK IT TO THE MAN!

The theme to "The Munsters" --Classic!

Done time and time again and I never get tired of hearing it or playing it.

Haha... I did find out about it because it was a Queensryche song, rather than because I watched the ads :D.

And +1 for Wayne's World!

I've been listening to the SWAT Kats theme for about a half an hour, and I still can't make out both guitar parts very clearly. There is so much background noise. Does anybody by any chance know how to play it?
