Hey guys, I think its time for me to buy new cables for my entire rig...last time I did this, I went for George L's after all I had read in magazines and such...I was dissappointed...they were really great, but started packing up on me pretty soon...

so I am looking to see what else there is out there...anyone know of any really nice cables, that really keep good tone?

I use a mixture of cables... George L's, Livewire, Planet Waves, and Mogomi. I use the livewires for connecting my pedals, and the George L's to go from my guitar to my pedals and then from my pedals to my amp. But, when I play out somewhere, I substitute the George L's with some Planet Waves. I use the Mogomi's to connect various other equipment up with, and am really wanting to try out some for my guitar.

I use Spectraflex and Monster. I can actually hear a difference between them and regular cables. You can buy Spectraflex cables right from their website and they ship pretty quickly.

I haven't really been impressed with Planet Waves cables.

I use CoPro, Mogami and Monster 500's. They are expensive however cabling is now something I don't have to worry about.
My instructors page and www.studiotrax.net for all things recording.

I use Monster cables also...

Stay away from the cables that have the store name printed on them.

Also, try to stay away from cables that have the molded plastic ends. If the cable breaks, you're pretty much stuck with getting a new cable. I just got a set of Mogomi cables that have Neutrik plugs on them, and they seem to be built like a tank, and can be easily repaired if something should come disconnected.

I use these

jean claude swears by them :D ... best cables I've ever owned. I use the black 'tour grade' jobs, but the whole range is well regarded.

As van-damme so eloquently put it 'if you've got a decent guitar, and a decent amp - don't put a piece of crap between them'....

those van damme's look amazing...just dont know where I will be able to find them out here.

I see they are somehow affiliated to Line6, so I will speak to the Line6 importers here and see what they can do for me (luckily it is a company, with whom I am familiar, and they are familiar with me).

You just can't go wrong with DiMarzio. Unless you're a pro with hearing like a dolphin, I'm told the difference can virtually not be told between them and Monster.
