:) What's up Tricksters. Haven't posted anything really in
about a week. I'm having withdrawal. It's been a busy,
musical week. Taking a breather this week. Been working on
some new stuff and I need your help.

I've been working out these 2 songs and both are about 3/4
finished. I need some help and all the good guitarist/musicians
here seem like the best place to cometo for their expertise.
Check It Out.

I re-arranged an old gospel song originally done by The
Sensational Nightingales. (Ever heard of Charles Brown?-Be
Home For Christmas) I was looking for a Tube Driver/Dumble
tone mix as I am a Larry Carlton Fan till death. I'd appreciate you guys giving
this one a listen and tell me how close I came to that kind of
sound on the leads. The leads were done by the way on my
T-15 Peavey. The song is called "Gonna' Rain Again". It's on my
music page and I'll post it at the end of this post.

The next song is called "Avion" and simply I was bogged down
this week in a lot of "stuff" and this song was my release. I felt
like I just wanted to fly away from everything-physically and
spiritually. The opening statement when the lead starts sounds like the soul longing to fly. Sappy? Maybe but I was certainly feeling this this week.

The help I need is that I feel like this need a lyric to it. I can't come up with anything at all and maybe someone here would be willing to take a stab at
it or at least help me get off to a start. That would certainly be
appreciated. Here's the link to the songs and I'm thanking you
in advance for any help. Hit me back and let me know what you think.

Go to My Music
Page and Click On Avion then Gonna' Rain Again.....Tell Me
What You Think.

Man you have some talent... I'm not a big gospel guy but "Gonna' Rain Again" is great. "Avion" is Awesome. wish I had some lyrics for you but I'm blank.

Nice work Man!

Do you do all the arrangements and music yourself?

Thanks for the compliments! To answer the question? Yes. It happens almost like some form of insanity. I hear this stuff in my head. It just comes and it repeats in my mind over and over again until I write it down or record it. My songs are the outcome. Talk about being a slave to the music.... :D

That's how I do it too, spend about a week away from my guitar listening to a track in my head;-) It does drive me a bit mad at times too though!
Great sound you have, I really like Avion, personally I would prefer to hear that as an instrumental... maybe add another voice like and thick/creamy overdriven bluesy guitar to 'sing' an otherwise vocal part. Nice work, I'm impressed:-)

"Gonna' Rain Again" sounds great! The only things that I could hear, that might need a looking at are... The piano and vocals seemed to clash with each other a bit. Maybe spreading them out from each other a bit would help... maybe pan one 10-20% left and the other 10-20% right. Also, the guitar had this semi high pitched "snap" to it that wasn't very pleasing to my ears, but other than that, it sounded great and fit the song perfect. Great job!

"Avion" sounds great aswell! I think it could work as an instrmental or a vocal piece. I can't help with any lyrics though. That's one things I've never been able to do :(

Keep up the great work!

Avion is beautiful. I felt it. I didn't just hear it. I haven't this way about a tune since 'seven turns' by the allman bros.

It's gonna rain was very authentic and true. I can really respect that. It's cool that you're obviously able to do what you want to musicaly. Great work bud-keep it up. :)
For life is quite absurd and death's the final word, You must always face the curtain with a bow
Forget about your sin - give the audience a grin
Enjoy it - it's your last chance anyhow.

:) Thanks guys for the listen. I'm thinking adding some type of lead voice, posiibly some type of piano/pad in the *empty* spots. I got about two more ideas I'm working on before moving my stuff to a MySpace site.

I like what they offer. I also have to find a new 56K modem-mine got zapped by lightnin' yesterday. (3rd time this year dammit) Anybody got an older serial modem (RS232) they want to part with? PM me if you do.
