personally, I would rather go with a tube combo...and from what Playa has posted sound-wise I would look carefully at a Peavey Valve King...looks and sounds pretty amazing for the price.
If I were you I would go with a combo, right up until I planned on using the head I bought forever...or at the very least a good few years.
