Most people either love it or hate it. I only have experience with the tiny Marshall mg10cd, which sounded amazing for what it was. I highly suggest you play one yourself, and don't listen to what anybody else says, because it's only going to be their opinion, and everybody has different tastes in tone.

Personaly, I would save up a bit more and get a Peavey Valveking head or wait until the Peavey Windsor head comes out (which is even cheaper than the Valveking). I've got the Valveking 112 combo, and it kicks much ass.

But again, try before you buy, and don't be pissed if you hate the tone of the amp ou get, if you buy it based on what someone else says.
