Weird? He's done a lot of sidework. I think his cd Illusive Lights and Sounds is the one with some of the work he did for movies and such.

Funny , but not that weird: Randy Rhoads was at a bar with some of his band members and he noticed that the waitress "Had a stick up her a**." So he emptied his glass of scotch and pissed in, put the ice back in, then asked the waitress to taste it because "It tastged funny."
"During this line, the kid acted like he was pushing buttons on a calculator in the air. The kid played ******* air-calculator!"

Even funnier is the fact that Jimi played rhythm to Chong's lead. I kid you not.

-Jimi's dad was Canadian, and even weirder, he was born with six fingers on each hand.
-Ozzy Osbourne worked at an abattoir before joining Black Sabbath.
-Robbie Krieger had only been playing electric guitar for six months when he joined the Doors.

I'm literally brimming with useless music trivia, but my brain's all tied up at the moment. I'll be back later, believe me.

Good thread, by the way.

Guitar World mag. I forget what month featured him recently, but I could scan the article from the mag if you'd like. (For reading, not for "See!!!!!" purposes.)

Not sure where I heard this, but Hendrix was fired from his 1st job as a teenager for repeatedly playing air guitar on his broom instead of sweeping. Perhaps you can verify this Blues Man?

I've heard that before but i'm not 100% sure it's true.

Weird Al Yankovic is a virtuoso intrumentalist...of the accordion. He's one of the best accordion players in the world. He mastered the instrument by age 11!
