I hear you about the drums allright, just used that as a basic track to keep the timing throughout for recording. A friend of mine is going to play live drums on all of my tracks as soon as the guitar parts are all done, then it will be a matter of mixing and mastering for a proper cd.
Just wondering what you thought of the lead tone? The harmonies have a specific tone necessary for pre-entry into an Eventide Eclipse - once they go through that they will sound completly different (going for effects driven harmonies and a dry heavy tone for rhythms). I used a lot of overdrive ontop of distortion to get that 'burning liquid' sound for the lead - just a matter of EQ'ing it so that it shines through the mix (its far too loud at the moment!). If you have any ideas or opinions on how to approach the mix or tones that would be cool. Thanks again for comments;-)
