Hi all,

I,ve been playing for about 28 years. I've read some of the posts here and it seems like you have a nice little community here.

Any bass players from the South East Ohio area interested in auditioning from a spot in a three piece band hit me up. We mainly play covers ATM but I've been writting and recording several new tunes that I'd like to begin playing.

Anyway, any interest hit me up via e-mail.

Thanks

Denny

Man, so do I. We had the younger guy auditioning last Wed. One word....
horrible. Didnt know the notes one the fretboard, poor sense of timing etc.

Still I told him to come by (just the way I am) so I can show him some stuff.

I know I'm new but wouldn't it be nice to have a section to post for "Guitarist/Bassist WANTED"??

Have you tried Myspace? It works and I am a sceptic when it comes to internet (still refuse to purchase anything of the web)

I have a myspace site. Where exactly would I post looking for Bass player??

I'm not a myspace expert.

BTW the band's name is zero intolerance. There is a lil bass (I play a lil bass as well) drum thing i recorded for fun on there. Gets way repetitive after the 1st 8 bars so don't expect alot of chnages after that. tell me what ya think ;)

Welcome to GT..

You may want to try the Musician's Life section... You could post there.. it says music business - so that would qualify.
Great works are performed, not by strength, but by perseverance.

There is a link to the classified section. You can "zero" in on your city and post a request. (I did it Friday and have had 4 replies for singers/lyricists). Also you can try the browse section, percentage of usefullness diminishes but look for pics showing people with guitars/basses or singing. Either they are already in a band or between them and they either know someone or can help you out or are total ......... fill in the blank. But be sure to mark on the browse search "networking" or you will have to filter through all the myspace link porn sites.

Hope it helps.

Thanks for all advice. I'm already working on those as a way to locate a suitable bass player. We have another guy comming over Sat to audition so maybe I'll get lucky. Thing is it's a three piece band so the two strings both need to be very strong.

Thanks again. See ya'll in the funny papers.
