Pick grip does not matter as long as you are not straining your self. I hold the pick between index and thumb, sometimes I anchor sometimes I don't it depeneds on whether your sitting down standing playing Flamenco or heavy metal. I hold the pick with my other fingers when I wanna down some tapping pyrotechnics. But I am never uncomfortable in my grip that is whats important
