YES the guy is good, yeees he did a good version of the song buuut i really didn't care for the just completely Out-of-place shredding forced into the middle of the song! It really could have worked that in better than he did. Instead of just having some completely random shred right in the middle of the solo.
overall it was good but the shredding was kind of tasteless. The song didn't really have much composure to it other than a bit of purple haze and then shred, purple haze then shred. no intro, build up, climax, outro type of thing , musically speaking it was just all over the place in that respect.

The guy has great skills but I didn't like the shredding over a classic. Nothing wrong with making it your own but it didn't fit the song, at least for me. To be honest as cool as shredding is it's over used in my opinion.
What really impressed me was him pulling his pants up in the middle of the song... :D
