Alright, well, I've checked out the competition, but that only made me feel worse, lol. So here it is, my real take, took me about 2 hours for this one. Sound quality isn't too good, but hey, you try recording something with a free microphone and audacity. But anyway, here you go! Please, if theres anything you think I could've done better, just share it with me. Thanks guys!

Hey whats wrong with AUDACITY!?!?!?! :mad: I use Audacity all the time. In fact all I use is Audacity, and I think its perfect. But you could just use the noise removal!?!? And free microphones just suck, I know. :D

NO PROBLEM!! :D It is a easy program to use. But, you can get really technical with it (plugins/looping/mixing). Best recording program. Anyone can use it!! :D

Hi All
Well I have been playing around with Dr. Simons Little Bear Blues backing track for quite a while, I had been useing it for scale pracitce, so to turn it into a complete song took a few beers. But we polished off a 6 pack Friday night and totally P.O. the neighbors, they deserved it there fireworks were louder than my so called music. It was hot and I had all the windows opened up, a couple of cool ones for my neighbor took care of him. So here is my take on one cool backing track.

Yep, its just 12 bar in E so E, A and B blues scales / pents will all work really well. Don't forget to try moving between both maj and min and adding those chromatics for extra flavor !!
It was recorded on a Tascam portastudio using analogue tape (hence the very pronounced compression), an ART TPS and it about 9 min long in total so be thankful Magicninja has provided you with just the highlights ! !

It is funny, I sold both bits of kit thinking that more expensive stuff would be better ! I just couldn't quite get "that" quacky strat tone out of even really high end pres so ended up getting another TPS ! $170 well spent ! I don't really use it for much else but damn it makes that California strat sound nice !
