If she's a real NSer, she'll also pronouce "couch" and "mouse" as "coach" and "moase"/"moose". Also, they do this thing where, if they're a little bit bored with a conversation, say "Yep" but while drawing in a breath. It's weird... hard to explain in text, but if you know what I'm talking about, you know what I'm talking about, y'know? :p ;)
... and that's all I have to say about that.

Well I'm as real as you can get... I was born here, and lived my entire life here. Bluenoser through and through...

As for the yep thing.. I'm not sure what you are talking about... I have heard people make a statement like a question though.. Like.. "It's been very rainy her lately, what?" and they pronounce the What like Wha... we are definately a unique bunch of people... :)

Inhale. About 1/3 of the way in, say "Yep", while still inhaling. Maybe you don't even notice? I'm from Ontario, so it was pretty noticeable for me.

Hmmm... are you from the Valley? Those are the ones that are the worst for that.

That's not just Nova Scotia. People here in rural Manitoba do the same thing all the time.

Ahh.. that explains it... I'm not from the Valley. I grew up in the city. It must be just a rural type of dialect...
