I went and saw Metallica live on their last tour... he doesn't use his wah as much as everyone says.........

Plus... it's easy to look back and criticize someone. He's Kirk Hammett... whether you like him, his solos, or how he uses his wah or not... He's a legend in the metal community and he should get your respect...

Yeah, St. Anger sucked... but that doesn't erase everything that they did in the past... I'm sure you'd get bored and try something new if all you did was play the same stuff over and over and over because you knew that's what everyone WANTED to hear. They tried something different and it flopped... big deal... They're Metallica. They can do whatever they want... I think they earned that when they toured for 3 straight years back in the 80's just in order to get noticed...

I'm not that crazy about Clapton either...

Actually, I like both Eric Clapton and Kirk Hammett. I agree that Kirk overuses the wah pedal, but he's come up with some fantastic leads. My policy is just to listen to those leads which stand out, and ignore those which are just re-hashes of these. Sorry, bad English :o - meh, it's early.
