I know a few of our members here either either play or used to play diablo 2. Would any of you feel like getting together sometime?

I just discovered this afternoon that I can easily edit any in-game value in closed battle.net. I feel quite cyberpimp being able to, without editing any saved games, packets, or game files, level any character up to lvl 99 and give them thousands of points in strength, mana, vitality, or whatever in just a couple of minutes. Booyah.

Edit: skills get trimmed. You can set them as high as you want but the program automatically cuts them down to lvl 99 a couple milliseconds later. This cheating method works perfectly in most games. I would be happy to teach my skills of l337 hacking to anyone interested.

I haven't actually made a supercharacter yet and I'm not planning on doing so. I've just messed around with a couple low level sorcs to make sure stuff works.

The reason runescape is so rarely hacked is because everything important is ran on the server. Modifying the data stored and ran on your computer can do little except make cosmetic changes. For example, you can easily make it look like you have several million experience points in any skill. The only advantage of doing this is that you can get some cool screenshots. In other words, "hacking" runescape is pretty much impossible.

What you can do, however, is try to communicate with the server in such a way as to convince it of falsehoods beneficial to you. To do this you need a packet sniffer and the ability to resend captured outgoing packets. I'm still working on what can be played around with by doing this, but I suspect skill editing is near impossible.

Major edit: something that I thought worked doesn't. Now the only runescape cheat I'm sure about is a trade glitch.

Leveling is handled server side. You can see your levels and experience values in the client, but I don't believe the real values are ever effected by your computer or any packets. That's one reason why runescape is so slow and jumpy for its simple gameplay and graphics.

I don't know anything about anarchy online.

I play Diablo II. Whenever I get the chance. I had this great paladin guy, with a great mace (green item) and a great armor (also green.) Gave me 600 defense, that one. And then my hdd went down, and everything went down with it. Music, videos... and a noble paladin. Currently I"m playing with a barbarian. I passed once, now I am at nightmare level. If you are up for it,
we could play a little online. Let me know.
