I've just discovered that the Queensryche concert in Sydney which I was so eagerly anticipating is not an all-ages gig after all. And, considering that the last time they came to Australia was about fifteen years ago, I doubt that I'll get another chance to see them live.

If only I'd been six months older! :(

How does that work out. That from beer, language, boobies on stage? Here they jusy ask for id for beer and they don't care about language. Or do they just not want a lot of teenagers there?

They don't want a lot of teenagers there (haha, I can't see a bunch of prog-rockers like Queensryche having too much beer and boobs on stage). Which is pretty much a given, considering that I'm the only teenager I know of in the entire Western Sydney area who likes Queensryche, but I suppose they're not taking any chances. Perhaps there is a cell of 15-year-old vigilante Queensryche fans hiding out in the suburbs, just waiting for an opportunity to cause havoc at a concert.

So why exactly is there an age cut-off again?

They want to keep teenagers out, I suppose. Sorry, I can be incomprehensible at times :o.

Oh well, looks like I'll just have to watch "The Art of Live"... again.

Do you have to be so old to get the tickets, or for when you go to enter the concert?

I think it's both, because they said something about an ID check at the venue as well.

Get in anyway...it's worth a try.
For life is quite absurd and death's the final word, You must always face the curtain with a bow
Forget about your sin - give the audience a grin
Enjoy it - it's your last chance anyhow.

Get a Fake ID bro. You should be able to find a template online somewhere.

I was going to suggest a fake I.D., but I didn't want to be a bad influence.

Thanks guys, but I'm too much of a chicken to break the law... :o. Besides, the people at the venue are pretty seasoned when it comes to fake IDs, from what I've heard.

Not to worry... perhaps I will see them at one of those big annual classic metal festivals in Europe, if I eventually go there.
