The whole reason I am asking is that I sing ok. I am a guitar player and have found a trick to singing. I play the melody line on a track using the guitar, and then I sing on another track the same melody and it keeps me on pitch and time.

I have taken a real liking to bands like Children of Bodom, and Shadows Fall, and AFI. That's pretty cool for a 37 year old father of two huh? Anyway I want to write some stuff using that "scream" voice and I am trying figure out how to do it without blowing my pipes for the real singing.

Any ideas?
