Yesterday I bought myself a new guitar. It's a Yamaha AE500, and I love it to pieces. That is all.

I don't have a camera, so I can't post any pictures of it....yet. My cousin might be coming out tonight, and if she brings her camera, I'll get her to take a few.
It's definitely an awesome guitar.
It came down to a decision I had to make -- either the AE500 for $500, or a used-but-in-damn-good-shape Jaguar Baritone Custom for $750. Having a Jaguar has been sort of a dream of mine for a while now, but I backed off because it was a baritone guitar and I'm not entirely sure what that means. Also, I figured the AE500 would be a good pick, as it's a hollowbody and it would provide some different sounds than my strat.
I definitely don't regret buying the AE500, but I'd never actually seen a Jaguar for sale at a music store before yesterday, and right now I'm just wondering if I ever will again. I hope so; I'd still like to have one.

Take a seven string guitar and throw out the high e string and you have a baritone guitar.

So it has 7 string tuners and nut slots but only 6 strings?

Well in that case, I'm glad I didn't get it. I'll just have to keep my eyes peeled for a regular jaguar. Or jazzmaster, they both seem cool to me.

I'm inclined to agree. I always thought Yamaha acoustics were somewhat above the rest, but I had no idea the electric types were as good.
