Damn It's Been A Long Time Since I was here.

What's up Forum? I've finally found some time to get back to my writing and came up with this little ditty called "Ginny's Kiss" I thought it was a country tune but most everyone that listens says it's pop or R&B. I dunno but you be the judge. I was looking for kind of a "Rascal Flatts" kind of vibe with this. I 'm playing leads on a 98 Nashville Tele and the rhythm parts on a 1984 Peavey Milestone. (One bad azz guitar that was way overlooked) Check out the tune and give me your views on it. Here's the link:

Archie,
I listened to "Ginny's Kiss" and just kept on listening.
Your voice and guitar playing is sweet and soulful. The lyrics to your songs are heartfelt and full of meaning. I love your style Archie.
God Bless

I'm not gonna lie to you, Mr. M. If I stumbled onto your page one day, I'd probably never even give you a listen. It just doesn't look like the kind of thing I'd enjoy.

That said, I gave "Ginny's Kiss" a listen and loved it. You're ridiculously good. I listened to a few others, and liked them a lot too. Keep it up, man!

Thanks guys for listening. I'm hoping some others will chime in with comments too. It's good to diversify and allow your influences to outline your musical pallette (now I'm starting to sound like a music teacher) :) I constantly have music rattling around in my head and what you hear at my site is the end results.

Someone asked me if I was a pro. I kind of classify myself as semi-pro only because I don't have a record deal.........yet (and I'm 46) but it's my dream just to become a "one hit wonder" and I'll be satisfied. Wish me luck. :D

Personally I liked the song One Hello better simply because you have that soulful deep voice. Ginny's Kiss is a good tune but (to me anyways) doesn't sound right for your voice.

Either way you're very talented and I wish you the best of luck in getting a record deal ;)
