I stumbled across a video of an excellent singer/guitar player on youtube today. The video can be found here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yza3WwxniEM&search=spanish%20guitar
(im talking about the 2nd song he plays/sings)

Immediately after watching it I knew I had to learn the second song he plays. After looking for an hour or so i found it is called Mala Malita Mala by Los chunguitos. A short search later brought up the chord progression, however it was on a spanish website so I didnt understand what sol+ and la- was. Another hour or so of searching spanish guitar websites before I finally figured out what it means. And now, the final step. The camera shows his hands in the beginning, Im just wondering if someone with better eyes/ear can help me figure out the strumming pattern he is using. I dont know if its a popular spanish strumming pattern or not, but if anyone can help me I would greatly appreciate it.

pardon my ignorance :). He sings in spanish very well. Ive learned all the words already, just need to work on that strumming pattern which seems rather difficult. Still hoping someone can figure it out or point me to a good spanish guitar forum where they might be able to help me out.

The guy you saw singing was Daniel Munoz, I know him and here's the spanish lyrics translated into english for you:

BAD, IN BAD SHAPE, BAD

That I wanted you your well you know it AND then I had to abhor you your kisses they are not sincere AND no
longer I want to see you again (twice)

Bad, evil in bad shape, bad, bad Is your Bad condition, evil in bad shape bad Is your heart (twice)

Do not you feel anything of as much as say Promise a lot provided that speak By but that try to convince me, I
do not trust your words (twice)

Refrain:

Do not you feel anything of as much as say, Promise a lot provided that speak, By but that try to convince me
I do not trust your words

See you not never neither to speak with you, and is the remedy for my wrongs Your you know well that when I
tell it are not lies that are true

also....a lot of it looks fancy and its just an illusion to confuse you about how he's playing....lol once you get the rythem down its quite easy...when you're strumming most of it for example: you it the guitar above the chords with your thumb...then strum down with the thumb..and up with the fingers....then back down using the fingers pressing out and hitting the guitar below the chords as you go down the last time.

if you want to know more just ask me..hope i was helpful!
