Folk I need help again lol!!!

When ever I play muted chords (with my fretting hand) I dont seem to get the desired chugging percussive sound!! Not sure whether its my technique or just coz I have a poo guitar (Squier Bullet with 10 guage strings).

Any tips would be great

Cheers again guru's!!

When muting with your fretting hand timing is key.
