Hi everyone,

Just joined the forum and would like to intro myself

My name is Francis and I'm from Singapore ;)

Have been dabbling with guitar on and off for a long time but never really good at it. Recently decided to learn some songs from the guitar tabs and I really like it.

Songs I'm trying are from Bread, Simon & Garfunkel (sorry if I'm a little out dated in terms of the music, BTW I'm 41 this year :p ) Like the tab on Extreme's More than words a lot. Still struggling with it.

Would appreciate if anyone could recommend tabs of the same music genre for me to look at and pick up. Coz some of the tab sites have too much info to sieve thru.

TIA. :p

Welcome to the boards... :D
You go outside and practice screaming. We'll play music while you're gone.

Welcome. I have a few clients in Singapore and we have an office located there. I love the internet :)

Suggested Genre's. Most tab sites have an artist search. this can help you go directly to the songs listed by that artist.

It looks like you are learning to finger pick and prefer more "folky" rthyms.

Some artist's you may want to look for would be Jim Croce any and all of his songs, James Taylor any and all of his songs (**Note He uses a Capo**), "Dog and Butterfly" by Heart beautiful Song, "Helplessly Hoping", "Suite: Judy Blue Eyes", and "Guenevere" Crosby,Stills, Nash.

Also a good one to learn is "Tears in Heaven" Clapton BABY!

Hope these help and Good Luck!

Hi Jimmy,

Thanks for the recommendation. Will go look them up. Will try the Clapton's Tears in Heaven. Love the song.

Yup I like the more "folky" songs and finger picking is really cool.

Thanks again. :o

Penang! Nice place. Love the food there. Haven't been there in a while though. Should plan a trip there.
