Heres an amazing musician, as well as a smart guy. He refused to let his pride stand in the way of his health when it all became too much. You know there are a lot of guys in his position who feel they can handle all of the weight on their shoulders, but for the sake of his band and most importantly his health, its great that he came to his senses...GET WELL JAMES...

I posted one a while ago about the price of fame and your post has inspired me to edit and re-post it.
I agree with you both, he inspires me musically, hope he sorts out his demons

I think it's great that, dispite his fame and stature, his big enough to admit he's human and needs help. Hopefully he'll sort himself out with time, not just for Metallica, or even the fan's sakes, but for himself and perhaps more importantly his friends and family.
James, if you ever get to read theses somehow, thanks for your inspirations and get well soon - we're all supporting you.

Don't worry too much about me, ignore me long enough and I'll go away.

it's nice to see pleasentry and know that their is really peopl who care for others. Could it be our common bond - guitar/music or just the fact that its sad to see others suffer. the later i hope.

Now when you hear of James Hetfield going into rehab you KNOW he does have issues. Wut do you think of that N*SYNC guy that went into rehab? Publicity? That's probably the most likely. I cannot believe that somebody like that is so bad as to go into rehab. and if Hetfield admits to his alcohilism that is good. Do you know why they kicked Dave Mustaine out of MetallicA in the first place? HE DRANK TOO MUCH!!!

Ummmmm. I read that he was in rehab for, and i quote "..alchaholism and other addictions...". I'll leave this up to you. It looks like it's just Kirk and Lars now. We may have some instrumentals on the new album.

The reason Dave got kicked out was not becuz he drank too much. "When we got drunk, they got silly and I got violent. Silly people and violent people dont mix when you're inebriated."-Dave. The quote was something like that.
