I can play flamenco techniques just as easily on my electric as on my acoustic, but, like you said, Jolly, composition is the main thing - flamenco just doesn't sound right with steel strings and an electric tone. On the other hand, Robbie Krieger used some flamenco style licks in some of his solos, and they sounded awesome.
Perhaps you could look at some Doors guitar solo tabs for some ideas, Steve.
