truss rod HELP

ok i allready put my truss rod in, but i dunno if i did it right.. its a single action rod and the adjustment is at the headstock that all looks good but im not sure if i anchored it right. and i checked guitar project . com no luck there or stu mac. anyone know the right way?? :confused: thank you for your time, this is my first guitar and all help is appriciated. even if u have other advice or tips.
I haven't yet gotten around to building my own guitar, but I have some books on the subject. I'll need to research this and get back to you. As I recall, the fixed end of the rod is pinned and glued in place when the spacer strip is installed in the trench routed out for the rod.
