yeah it was a passing thought as geat as they sound i just luv claptons "woman tone" the neck pup with tone all way off killer!
i would get two ig marshall stacks but i cant afford it
as im only 14 and working part-time got any ideas on how i can get his cream era sound without his digitech crossroads pedals
i know most tone is in the fingers and im already workin on that
Cheers

you're not a poor 14 year old are you now, when i was 14 i was happy to be able to afford a burger at the end of every week, now i'm 17 i can buy heaps of crap but i still wouldn buy an orange half stack, i mean in the end there is such thing as havin a heap of really good equipment that ends up showing you up.

I would think... that if you have enough money to think about buying Orange heads, or Marshall stacks... you should be able to afford the DigiTech Crossroads pedal. haha. I think that would probably be the cheapest and most efficient way out... In order to get that tone with a Fuzz, Reverb, Wah, Orange head, and LP.... you're going to have to do a lot of knob twisting... And it'll never be spot on in my opinion... Even though the Orange head is a great vintage amp. When I started out... I wanted a ton of killer gear too... then I realized I didn't need a bunch of killer gear as long as I had a few pieces that were able to pull everything together... One being a nice amp (JCM 900)... another being a nice guitar (American Strat)... and then a good multi effects for efficiency (Boss GT-8). With that set-up I can hit pretty much any tone I want...... And my floor isn't cluttered with cables and pedals...

hey um i currently own the guitar only(suck) and as great as they are im not a big fan of multi effect pedals i prefer 1 trick ponies i probably sound like a nob but i do
i also dont mind twisting the nobs as i will learn to do wat i want with what i got instead of just pressing a button to get it thanks for your opinions
