my problem is that i have short and fat fingers, so i can barely reach the low E string and some times i cant even reach it,....and when i try to fret more then one string at the same time, for example E-5, A-4, D-5, well my fingers will mute the other strings when i go to strum them (index finger on Ee-5 touches the A string, compeleting muffing the sound)....so what can i do to fix this problem,....an kind of finger exercises i could do, lol....hope some one has some advice...

first of all, your left arm and position is very important, you must make sure that your fingers are coming down towards the strings, rather than across. It feels uncomfortable at the start, but it will feel more natural in time.

Sounds like you may need a guitar that is a little wider at the nut which means it has a wider string spacing. However, if your fingers are too short this could also be a bit of a problem for you as well. Kind of a catch 22.
