The Ibanez Tubescreamer TS-808 is pretty much the most widely used overdrive pedal amongst all genres of music... especially blues. SRV used two in his set-up I believe.

The TS-808 is the older version of the Tubescreamer... the newer version is the TS-9. But even today, the TS-808 is more sought after.
