whenever i play anywhere else besides my room. my lead/solos are very weak. i usually tremolo pick and not much of it is heard. the sound is really weak and im on max volume. when i try to tap or pick-tap, not much sound comes out. im pretty confident it is not my technique....well for the most part.
do i need a pedal?(and which kind)
amp settings suggestions?
any suggestions please..

thanx for your time...

Dude, that is a question you will almost certainly have to answer yourself by trial and error.

what amp are you using? are your clean sounds keeping up in rehearsals?
whats sort of sound are you going for?

from what you were saying about not much of your tremolo picking being heard, it sounds like you may have too much distortion on your lead sound and as a result are just sounding muddy?

anyway, what amp are you using? is it that the amp isnt loud enough in rehearsals? or just that you arent cutting through with the rest of the band? If its the second one, you may have to rethink your tone...maybe a bit more mid-range?something like that?

sorry that its so vague...I'm tired

Sounds like you could benefit from a compression pedal.
Especially for the tapping stuff, but overall anyways. You can use it as a boost pedal as well.
