It's been so long I can't remember exactly what my first song was... But I think it might of been "Outside" by Aaron Lewis... the solo acoustic version... I also remember learning "Glycerine" by Bush very early... "Nothing Else Matters" was the first song that I was actually proud of... It was the first intermediate difficulty song that I learned all the way through... and learned all the parts for as well... I would aim for a more chord oriented song though. There is more technique involved in playing "Nothing Else Matters" the correct way than a lot of beginners realize... But you can always give it a shot!!! It's good to challenge yourself. Good Luck!!
