The reason the poll is public is because the one rule to voting is you can't vote for yourself!!!!!

My vote goes to Eric's solo, but it was a tough choice - I really loved everybody else's, and I'm not just saying that. For the most part, the standard of playing was really high! Well done, everybody.

There's always next time. I'm gonna do this every month. I figure I can post the backing by whoever on the first of the month and give everyone tree weeks to get something done and then post the poll aroun the 23rd-24th of the month giving everyone a week to vote until the next track goes up.

Man.. not that I had a chance to get any votes anyway, but I've been bustin' my ass on that thing today, and was planning on finishing up this evening and posting it! There's still 5 day's left in April.. why jump the gun  I'm pissed now  *in Cartman voice* "Screw you guy's.. I'm going home!"

I have to agree with Prs on this one its only fair that other people can join in for the last 5 days and maybe in the next one u could have 3 categories? like beginner, intermediate, and advanced maybe? I just think its very hard for someone who hasnt been playing long to solo for 3 minutes.. maybe have 3 diff tracks for each category? They have a monthly jam over on the John Petrucci forum and its pretty popular and they break it into 3 catagories and people give feedback on solos and so on..

In order for me to pull off something like that I would need major help in preparing or finding backing tracks. also I might have to petition for a new forum which from my calculations ......is freakin' impossible man! Though I will work on this and try to find some solutions because I want this to become a staple in the GT listening post forum. Doc Simon was on to something with the king of the Jams but he never followed through. I'll see what can be done.
